today i witnessed the birth of a social networking site for composers. jeff harrington (composer and founder of netnewmusic/reblog) has created a social networking site at http://netnewmusic.ning.com/

judging by the quick growth i think a place like this has been long overdue. i have been contemplating a site devoted to modular music where you could share scores and files. so know i'll probably work on integrating this into a dark corner of the new site.

also along those lines this site will be moving soon. i'm combining the blog and website into a new home. one of my big goals is to make everything (scores, files, midi, finale...) freely available to all.
